Fraction- A number expressed in the form a/b, or a ratio of algebraic quantities similarly expressed.
Numerator- In arithmetic it is the top number of a fraction, usually above the line. The numerator of the fraction 2 / 3 is 2.
Denominator- In arithmetic it is the bottom number of a fraction, usually below the line. The denominator of the fraction 2/3 is 3.
Mixed Number- Numbers that have a combination of whole numbers like 1, 2, and 3 and fractions like 1/2.
Converting- to change (something) into a different form or properties; transform.
Proper- A fraction with good manners (not really). It really means a fraction that has the numerator smaller than the denominator.
Improper- A fraction with bad manners (again not really). It really means a fraction that has a numerator larger than the denominator.
